I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology in 2020 and with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma, in 2021. I have been practicing since 2020.
I am Catholic and am happy to incorporate Catholic and Christian views into sessions, but it is NOT necessary to do so. I am also happy to provide non-faith-based counseling and will be respectful of your personal values. Regarding my session approach, I believe that every person has been endowed with inherent dignity and worth by God. Whether or not our sessions are faith-based, this belief is foundational and assists me as I strive to receive every client with compassion. I also like to incorporate philosophical understandings of the human person in session (from philosophers such as Aristotle and J. Budziszewski) and use a wide range of therapy modules (such as ACT, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic approaches, person-centered techniques, etc.). I tend to be flexible in session and will work with you to develop an individualized approach based on your needs and what you find to be helpful.
I love the outdoors and enjoy exercising, reading, drawing, painting, hiking, fishing, and traveling. My favorite books tend to be classic novels, such as The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Count of Monte Cristo, or psychology self-help books, such as Daring Greatly and Man’s Search for Meaning. I love listening to music as well and appreciate a wide variety of artists.
